ba&sh is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated candidate to take part in the development of the brand in North America. As a member of the finance team in the North America business unit, your will (i) work with the Head of finance on a wide range of financial topics and you will (ii) act as a business partner with the other departments to help them develop the business and better understand their financial performance. When needed, you will also help your team on accounting-related tasks. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and you will be based in New York City.

Within the Finance department, you report directly to the North America Head of Finance. You are in charge of the accounting of the Business Units North America.

 

In this capacity, your missions are as follows:

The Accountant will:

  • Be responsible for the monthly closing of Ba&sh subsidiaries in Canada and the US
  • Be responsible for accounting for the subsidiaries and ensuring that the financial flows are accurate
  • Act as a liaison between the HQ Finance team and Ba&sh’s accounting partners in the US and Canada

 

Accounting

  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly closings to ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide all necessary documents and information to accounting partners for monthly closings (sales, inventory, vendor invoices, employees expenses, rents and commissions)
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and make sure invoices are properly coded
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable of the subsidiary
  • Ensures accounts payable invoices and expense claims are accurate, properly coded and authorized for payment
  • Expense reports
  • Intercompany invoices
  • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
  • Reconciliation of retail payments
  • Tag and monitor fixed assets
  • Prepare monthly accrual process

 

Reporting

  • Balance sheet and P&L monthly analysis
  • Review closing results against budget, follow up on variances, and alert on potential overspending

 

In addition, you will ensure compliance with ba&sh's CSR policy and the development of the Blossom strategy within your department.

As a member of the Merchandising team in the North America business unit, you will report directly to our C.E.O and you will be based in New York City.

 

In this capacity, your missions are as follows:

  • Build the OTB and monitor the engagement through the buying period.
  • Create product assortment and define an efficient clusters for the stores.
  • Define the prices of the collection.
  • Define buying quantities for Retail and Wholesale respecting the OTB per delivery drops.
  • Set-up markdown strategy respecting the margin goals.
  • Optimize stock depth in stores and reorders to increase sales and minimize leftover.
  • Propose multi-channels transfers to optimize allocation.
