The Financial controller will:
Be responsible for the monthly closing of ba&sh subsidiaries in Canada and the US
Be responsible for accounting for the subsidiaries and ensuring that the financial flows are accurate
Act as a liaison between the Finance team in French HQ and Ba&sh’s accounting partners in the US and Canada
Accounting
Coordinate the preparation of monthly closings to ensure deadlines are met
Provide all necessary documents and information to accounting partners for monthly closings (sales, inventory, vendor invoices, employees expenses, rents and commissions)
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and make sure invoices are properly coded
Intercompany invoices
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
Reconciliation of retail payments
Tag and monitor fixed assets
Prepare monthly accrual process
Reporting
Balance sheet and P&L monthly analysis
Review closing results against budget, follow up on variances, and alert on potential overspending
Prepare monthly business review presentation to CEO
Prepare the daily financial target for retail locations
Project studies
Study financial impact and commercial interest of various projects (new stores, partnerships, logistical project, …)

- Master degree
- Previous experience in Finance
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a multicultural and cross functional team environment
- Knowledge of French is a plus
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software (Quickbooks) is a plus
